At least 11 people died on Monday in a missile attack allegedly launched by U.S. aircraft without pilot in a town in the tribal areas of Pakistan near the Afghan border, according to the latest balance sheet communicated to AFP by a source of security
"The stock is now 11 people," said an official of the local security, noting that a foreigner died in hospital, in apparent reference to an Islamist insurgency that might have entered Pakistan from another country.
The previous balance was three insurgents dead and another 15 people wounded, including women and children.
The U.S. forces in neighbouring Afghanistan are the only ones in the region that have aircraft without pilot. Washington is convinced that Al Qaeda and Afghan Taliban have reconstituted its forces in the tribal areas of northwestern Pakistan.
