The Republican candidate for governor and U.S. vice-president of Alaska, Sarah Palin, will not cooperate with the investigation being conducted in his state for abuse of power, his spokesman said on Monday, calling the process "skewed".
"I think it's fair to say that the governor will not cooperate with this investigation, because it is biased and supporters led by individuals who already reached their own conclusions" on the issue, said spokesman Ed O'Callaghan journalists in Anchorage (Alaska).
Palin is suspected of having wrongfully dismissed on July 11 at the head of public security of Alaska for refusing to dismiss a police officer. The agent was the former brother-in-law of Palin, and was in divorce proceedings with her sister.
Palin - elected in late August for the Republican presidential candidate John McCain as a companion formula - rejects charges of abuse of power.
