In September comes a competition to be the best mentalist, 'Phenomenon'
Every Monday of September at 7:00 pm Phenomenon is a show that competition is judges to Uri Geller, famous for bending spoons with the mind and Criss Angel (Criss Angel Mindfreak A & E), with host Tim Vincent. The show debuted five episodes by NBC in October 2007 and went live in its early broadcasts. Phenomenon presents ten participants competing to be the next great mentalist, and whose fate lies in the hands of viewers who vote by phone and online. Contestants run their acts before the celebrities each week. The winner will earn $ Phenomenon of 250000 U.S. dollars
The fascinating and frightening spectacle is based on a successful version tried and supervised by Israeli Geller, reaching a historical record of viewers. Contestants were selected with extreme caution because each week compete against each other, demonstrating a wide range of unique effects on a panel of celebrity guests to experience the electrifying illusions along with the audience gathered in the study. Together, Geller and Angel analyse the talents of the contestants each week, giving their honest opinions.
Episode One
In Episode One, served the first four contestants, with Angel Geller and analyzing their performance. The celebrity guests were Carmen Electra, supermodel Rachel Hunter and Ross Mathews, known as "Ross the Intern" The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Ehud Segev performed a routine in which Carmen Electra taps felt that Ross Matthews felt. Jim Karol demonstrated the power of mind over matter, placing his hand inside a huge trap for bears. Karol then revealed the celebrity in which the guest was thinking Rachel Hunter. Eran Raven held a Russian roulette with six nail guns. Gerry McCambridge made a routine that allowed the audience to choose a number of one of the three phone books. The phone number was chosen the same chosen in advance by the contestant.
Episode Two
In Episode Two, Uri Geller ran its Mental Challenge with the effect of "landing at one of the nine planets," in which viewers at home spell the name of any planet, but all reach the same conclusion. Among the guests were celebrities Cameron Diaz and former Miss USAShandi Finnessey.
Angela Funovits made his act of Russian Roulette with a huge, sharp knife. Geller catalogue of "exciting" action Funovits adding that she had proved to be as good as men in the competition. Guy Bavli conducted a demonstration that nearly paralyzed the heart of a nurse and Raven Symone Tom pulse across his own wrist.
Jan Bardi performed with a pendulum effect, using it to find "a needle in a haystack." Shandi Finnessey Bardi invited to choose a three-digit number. Each member of the audience had a box of matches with a different number, each containing a different number of matches. The boxes were thrown into Bardi on stage and the pendulum was used to find the number of the box of matches which corresponded to the number selected.
The paranormal Jim Callahan conducted a routine automatic writing, stating have contacted the deceased author Raymond Hill to identify the object that Emma Watson had placed inside a closed box. After the routine, an argument arose when Criss Angel said the act was "comical" and challenged Callahan to tell him what it contained an envelope that drew from his pocket in exchange for one million dollars of his own money. Callahan approached Angel accusing him of "ideological fanatic" and fought verbally.
Episode Three
In Episode Three, three of Episode Two of the contestants were eliminated. The five remaining contestants continued acting, all including at least one of the famous guests from Girls Next Door in his act. Super Mike was the first to exercise the power of suggestion, acting with a voodoo doll. He asked a famous guest that accompany him on stage, who began to experience everything that made her the doll. Raven was demonstrated with snakes, poisonous and the other without poison. Each reptile was placed on pottery and a staff of the object in another guest. Gerry McCambridge predicted the effect of balls in his body painted with absolute precision. Angela Funovits demonstrated the power of the mind on the matter by raising lit a candle with his mind and passes over your skin, guessing details of the relationship between a famous guest with which the person was thinking. Guy Bavli executed an act of Russian roulette using eight jugs of hydrochloric acid.
Episode Four
In Episode Four, only one contestant was eliminated. Angel commended Guy Bavli in his act of bending spoons, a trick made famous Uri Geller, considering it "his best performance to date." Angela Funovits conducted an effect in which the person in the minds of a guest appeared on a famous photograph. Mike was presented at Super motorcycle with an act of prediction, in which all seven numbers written by the public, corresponded with numbers on the license plate of his motorcycle. Eran Raven walked barefoot and blindfolded on a stretch covered with razor blades, pieces of glass and scorpions. The celebrities of Episode Four were Tia Carrere, Dayna Devon and Kim Kardashian.
Episode Five
The last four contestants acted together, allowing the celebrity guests choose one of a set of colored flags and handed it to each contestant. Contestants then removed the jackets, revealing that were already dressed in the colors make the game with their flags. Some contestants were eliminated and were only three.
One contestant brought the body of another was strong enough to swing in the back of two chairs. Then a block of wood broke in his stomach. Another mentalist asked one of the celebrities who released a one-dollar ticket from a machine dispensing and then revealing that the serial number on the ticket equalled that of a deck of cards previously selected. At the end of Episode Five, a candidate was enshrined in the first place and the winner of the $ 250000 dollars.
